Point Forecaster

Weather forecasts are always welcome, especially if they include a large amount of information. If you are preparing to step out, Point Forecaster can provide you with all the information you need, regarding the current and predicted weather conditions, so you won't be caught by the rain without any warning. The application is capable of retrieving numerous details about the weather, from any location in the United States. The best part is that it can display the information almost instantly, without too much user input.

Point Forecaster is free and it provides support for all popular Windows versions. It can be installed in a few moments, by following a wizard's instructions. Apart from a working Internet connection, the application doesn't have any special requirements. Once installed, it can be launched right away.

Simplicity is one of Point Forecaster's key features. It comes with a tabbed user interface, which displays various weather details and you don't have to interact with too many options. All you have to do is type the name of a major city from the US, on the left side of the window, and click a button. In a few seconds, Point Forecaster will show you everything you need to know about the weather, in the specified city.

General weather details are illustrated as icons and thumbnails, for each hour of the current day, along with basic predictions, like"clear skies", "chance of rain" and so on. More information can be found on different tabs. You can find hourly statistics for precipitation, cloud cover, temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction. All details are displayed on an hourly basis, regardless of the selected tab. The temperature and dew point can be displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius degrees and you can also set the application to display the wind speed in miles per hour or knots.
